vertical landscape...

PART I: between earth and sky...
the beauty of simplicity, the simplicity of beauty...both are what the Ryo Yamada Studio creates. On their words "We do not do categorize our field: architecture, art, landscape design as a just Creator."

This vertical landscape, located in Saporo-Japan, is made to evoque the visitors emotions within the changeable air and light conditions in the space. Fifty eight pillars are suspended from a horizontal plane of synthetic fabric inside the upper level exterior courtyard of a historical building.
