time passing...without hours

'Today we don't need wrist watches; we have the time in our cell phones, iPods, cars and computers. The daily act of winding up a mechanical watch every morning; knowing that it won't tell the time but simply activate the second hand becomes a humble daily act in awareness and self discipline. A small, maybe futile but genuine attempt to try and remember that time is passing and that day we wish to remember that we need to make the most of our time.'
