la evolución silenciosa...

Completed in november 2010 'la evolución silenciosa' is the most recent Jason  deCaires Taylor's sculptural installations in the Cancun underwater museum MUSA. Through the art this museum want to preserv the coral natural reefs.

Although the most recent sculptures have only been in place for about two months, they already show the significant growth of algae and the beginning development of coral, and are already frequented by lobsters and thousands of different fish.

el primer hombre...

(…) El primer hombre fue realmente aquel que se irguió para caminar a dos patas? Aquel que decidió talar la madera y la piedra para hacer herramientas? El primero que lloró la muerte de un ser querido y tomó conciencia de que su propio fin era ineluctable? El primero en creer en una fuerza que le era superior o, tal vez, el primero en expresar sus sentimientos.? Con qué palabras, qué gestos, qué ofrendas, el primer humano confesó que amaba? Jim Denevan almacenadas hace tiempo en mi disco duro (también el mío interno personal) y no he podido resistirme a subirlas... Una vez más el arte en, para y del instante...

 

Los impresionantes dibujos de Jim Denevan sobre la arena o el hielo condenados y creados para desaparecer bajo las olas o el tiempo (el atmosférico y el cronológico)...

Shanghai 2010: a big and free art gallery

Wrinkles of the City questions the memory of a city and its inhabitants.  

JR exhibits freely in the streets of the world, catching the attention of people who are not the museum visitors. His work mixes Art and Act, talks about commitment, freedom, identity and limit.

They will not be around much longer, because the Shanghai city government and private developers want to force these residents out and demolish their homes so they have land to build condos and shopping centers. 

 

I've always liked these works that are not intended to remain...
their sole purpose is to show a moment for just a moment...
just what life is...a moment
